The festivities for our 8th Octo Weasel bring us to Northern Greece during the 12th century. Greece is currently under the rule of the Byzantine Empire and has recently experienced a period of growth and prosperity.
The agora (marketplace) is prospering. With increased trade has come the Golden age of art and culture! To celebrate this rare time of peace and tranquility, we will be holding a number of activities to tempt all interests!
Come show your martial prowess out in the bitter cold of winter. Enjoy cold, blood pumping heavy list fighting to be enjoyed out of doors, in the form of a Bear Pit Tournament, melees and a woods battle. Rapier activities are also an option for those so inclined.
For those who would like to keep warm indoors, we will have A&S classes to keep your mind and fingers nimble. Smoking Rocks is known for its talented musicians and music often graces our halls during these peaceful times.
Merchants are welcome. There is not a table fee, but normal event and feast fees apply.
Dayboard will be served, and to warm our bellies, our head cook will be serving a fantastic Greek Byzantine feast in the evening to tempt our senses!
