Spring Crown Tournament will be held in the Crown Province of Ostgardr April 26th to 28th at William H. Pouch Boy Scout Camp on Staten Island, New York.
THIS IS A DRY SITE! THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS TO THIS POLICY
FIRE POLICY: DUE TO NEW YORK CITY ORDINANCE WE ARE NOT ALLOWED TO BRING FIREWOOD ONTO SITE. THE RANGERS HAVE FIREWOOD AVAILABLE FOR FREE. "PRESTO" BRAND AND OTHER MANUFACTURED FIRE LOGS ARE PERMITTED. RAISED FIRE PITS ARE ALLOWED AND THE RANGERS WILL PROVIDE FIRE RINGS IF WE ASK IN ADVANCE. TORCHES ARE ALLOWED ON THE CAMPOREE FIELD
THERE WILL BE A TORCH-LIGHT TOURNAMENT ON FRIDAY NIGHT.
Service animals are allowed but pets are not. If you intend to bring your service animal please let us know.
There is a discreet no smoking policy. If possible, do not smoke. If you must smoke, do so where the scouts cannot see and police your filters. There will be no smoking inside any of the structures.
New York City has a strict weapons policy. Do not wear your knives, swords, or other weapons off site. No firearms of any kind, including non-working replicas of period firearms, are allowed on site.

The site is an active Boy Scout camp, with two lakes, wooded trails, and lots of activities available. The camporee field we will be using is 16 acres in total--room for several activities. There will be space for dancing. e scouts on site and they will likely come to watch the tournament, under the supervision of a scoutmaster. Be aware that the feast hall is some distance from the tourney field along well-trodden paths through the wood. For handicapped accessibility, there is a second parking lot closer to the feast hall.
CAMPING:
There will be space for tent camping available on Friday and Saturday nights. All camping will be on the camporee field, the large athletic field where the lists will be located and many activities will be taking place. You do NOT need to pre-register for camping: however, if you do pre-register, please let us know if you are planning to camp. There will be fighting on Friday Night.

A dayboard will be provided and Lord Friedrich Grimm will be cooking a feast for 100 people. Any questions about menu or dietary restrictions should be sent to the chef at chef@springcrown.eastkingdom.org, or to dayboard@springcrown.eastkingdom.org before April 15th.

ARTS AND SCIENCES:
We will have an A&S Display. Please bring your Arts & Sciences creations to proudly display on this joyous day of selection of the Heirs to Their Majesties. Vicereine’s Challenge: Baroness Johanne i Visby Vicereine of Ostgardr challenges the artists and craftsmen of the East to display projects which feature heraldry, be it their own, their local area or kingdom. For more information, email A&S@springcrown.eastkingdom.org. There will also be A&S classes and a bardic circle.

In accordance with the Laws of the East Kingdom (section II.B), both the combatant and consort are asked to send a letter of intent, preferably in a joint email or mailed letter, to Their Royal Highnesses (prince@eastkingdom.org / princess@eastkingdom.org) with a copy to the Seneschal (seneschal@eastkingdom.org) no later than thirty days prior to Crown Tourney (ie, March 27). This requirement may be waived, on a case-by-case basis, by the King and Queen.
The letters of intent must include, at a minimum, all of the following information for both combatant and consort (If both entrants are combatants, it should be clearly indicated):
Society Name (please include full Society Name as listed in Order of Precedence as well as any familiar Society Names)
Legal Name
Address
Telephone Number
Email Address (if possible)
Years of Residency In the East Kingdom
Proof of Membership: Both combatant and consort must submit in their letter of intent active SCA membership number and membership expiration date. Membership expiration must be no less than 30 days after Crown Tournament.

NOTE UPDATED DIRECTIONS
From All points other than Long Island and New York City:
Make your best way to exit 13 on the New Jersey Turnpike.
Merge onto ramp for I-278 East, Goethals Bridge, Verrazano Bridge.
Cross the Goethals Bridge and take I-278 East to Exit 11 Bradley Avenue. The off ramp lets you out onto South Gannon Avenue. Cross Bradley. In about a half mile, turn right at the T intersection, Manor Road. The site will be 1.5 miles down on your left.
From New York City and Long Island:
Take the Verrazano Bridge/Staten Island Expressway to Exit 12, Slosson Avenue/Todt Hill Road. The off ramp puts you on North Gannon. Cross Slosson Avenue. Turn Left at the T intersection, Manor Road. The site will be 1.5 miles down on your left.
Via Public Transportation
ON FIRDAY (the S-54 does not run on Saturday).
Take the Staten Island Ferry to St. George Terminal
Catch the S-62 St George/Travis bus to Victory Blvd and Manor Road
Transfer to the S-54 West Brighton / Eltingvile bus heading south on Manor Road
Get off at Brielle Road/Gower Street
Cross Brielle Road, back onto Manor Road, turn right
The site will be on your left, the East side of the street, in less than 1/4 mile.
ON THE WEEKEND
From SAINT GEORGE FERRY
Take the S I MALL YUKON AV bound S61 Bus
Get off at BRADLEY AVE & HAROLD ST.
Walk 1 block south to Portage Avenue.
Walk East (left) 8 blocks till Portage turns right and becomes Gower.
At the end of Gower is a triangle intersection where Gower, Brielle and Manor Road meet. Cross Brielle and turn right onto Manor Road. The site will be on your left less than 1/4 mile down the street.

Preregistrations are due by April 13th. Please indicate if you intend to camp on site.
Refund Policy: Cancellations will be accepted up until the registration cut off, April 13th, with a full refund. After April 13th there will be no refunds. Tickets will be issued for the feast and tickets are transferable. If you lose your ticket you can be checked off the master list, but lost tickets are NOT transferable (meaning you can’t come up and say Lord Bob told me I could have his seat at the feast).
