|Once again The Barony of Carillion brings you Ghost, Ghouls and Goblins! This is also the Barony's Champion Event for all Archery, Fencing, Thrown Weapons, Fighting, A&S, and Bardic. |
Archery - Master Rupert the Unbalanced is hard at working creating a new novelty shoot. So come test your skill against his diabolical shoots (and lots of arrows)! This activity begins at 10:30AM. This shoot is usually several hours, it is recommended to come early to ensure enough time.
There will be a night woods walk shoot which will begin 30 minutes after feast, weather permitting, this is even better then shooting pumpkins in the dark!! Night shoot will take about an hour to complete. Protect the Barony from things that go bump in the night!
A&S - A&S champions competition. Come show your work at our Arts and Science display. You can enter the competition to become the next Baronial Champion. Documentation is nice, but not required. Good Luck. Judging will be completed by by 3:30 all submissions must be in by noon. The theme for the A&S champion is "grotesques". The theme for the Autocrat's challenge is witches and warlocks. And there will also be a people's choice competition.
Bards - Come sing or play your instruments lure the mighty ghouls into submission with your sweet music for our mighty warriors may defeat the Ghouls! The challenge laid down by our current champion,Lord Björvig Huldarson, is for an original song or poem reflecting something that transpired during a SCAdian event this year. Fencing - 10:30 Rapier Champion tourney: details TBA
Fighting - Raise those weapons protect the Barony of Carillion against the scary beasts of the night and fight for the honor of Carillion!
12:00 Rattan Champion Tourney: Lord Brice has decided on a Bear Pit tourney, time dependent on # of entrants, with a couple possible twists
Thrown Weapons - Thrown weapons champion event begins at 2:00 details TBA

Baronial Court will start between 4pm and 4:30pm
Cabin rentals are communal and please bring your own bedding. Driving to the cabins or camping area is not permitted. Wheel barrows are provided to move your belongings from the parking which is about 100yds away.
Fires permitted in firepits only.
Light breakfast will be available for purchase Saturday and Sunday for a small fee.

Quail Hill is located in Manalapan Township in western Monmouth County.
From the shore: Take NJ Route 33 west from Freehold (U.S. Route 9) six miles to County Route 527A (Iron Ore Rd.). Turn right (north) and proceed 1/2 mile to LaValley Drive. Turn right again and follow LaValley Drive 1/2 mile to the gate.
From the NJ Turnpike: Exit #8 from the turnpike to Route 33 east. Proceed east 6 miles to Route 527A. Take the jughandle and proceed north as described above
