|In the autumn, when the leaves are beginning to turn and the summer horns of war are but a distant memory, The Kingdom of Acre bids you to pick up your arms, pack your tents and join us on Crusade!! |
The journey and battle to protect the piece of the True Cross continues...
The Kingdom of Acre invite all to a weekend of heavy and rapier battles, archery, and arts and sciences (classes and a display are planned) at the beautiful Camp Cedarcrest. Tent camping is available for all and there is limited cabin space.
The weekend activities will:
- Prove the mettle of fighters who will select Templar, Hospitaller or Byzantine roles in Acre's "infamous" 3-hour resurrection battle with combat archery (see http://www.kingdomofacre.org/autumnCrusade2013/index.html for full scenario).
- Test the targeting ability of archers who will also choose their respective army...
- Hone the blade skills of rapier fighters
- Provide opportunity to all to learn new skills and to display their handcrafts
After the days martial and arts activities are ended, a feast prepared by the Kingdom's finest cooks will provided. After dinner, an amphitheater with a huge firepit is available to showcase bardic performances or stories of battles past...
