A Market Day at Sigtuna Event date: March 29th, 2014
Hosted by Canton of Seashire - Lake Echo, NS
Event Last Modified: January 17th, 2014
Event details
Sea ice melts and shifts, and the snows recede from the mountain passes.  Commerce can begin again in the frozen North as longboats and wagons make their way to the shores and villages of Ruantallan!  The market in Sigtuna will bustle with activity as vendors bring their wares for sale or trade.  Nowhere in the Known World will you be able to find such goods as produced within our borders!  This will also be the day the Canton of Seashire will be seeking a new Rattan Champion, with a wondrous tourney designed by Lord Hugh, and end the day with an incredible Viking feast.  Prizes will be awarded to 1) the vendor who has the most interesting and attractive booth 2) the most period booth.  Children’s activities will keep the young – and young at heart – entertained.

Please note – there is no sideboard at this event as we wish to allow our vendors the opportunity to present victuals for purchase.  All vendors interested in reserving a table or space for a booth, please contact Lady Mary Elizabeth (Nancy Irwin) at nirwin@eastlink.ca
