Dating back to Plato and Aristotle, the concept of the five wits guided the human experience throughout the SCA period. Prevalent in both religion and literature, the understanding of the five wits was continuously reflected and examined.
To celebrate this significant concept revering Seeing, Hearing, Touching, Tasting, and Smelling, The Shire of Nordenhalle will host, not only ONE pentathlon, but TWO!
Below is a basic outline of the day's competitions. Further information will be provided shortly, but this should be enough to get you started.
Competition 1: This is a Pentathlon celebrating the 5 Wits. Each entrant will be required to enter 5 different items. The purpose of this competition is to demonstrate range and variation. (Rules and specifics to follow).

If you just recently entered our A&S world and are looking to show off what you know or are learning and receive gentle guidance, please consider entering. (Rules and specifics to follow).
Competition 3: A Youth competition. The East has some amazingly talented young artisans. Here is a chance to show off what they can do! (Rules and specifics to follow).
Competition 4: A Largesse competition. Bring out all of the wonderful items you are planning to donate to help the Crown. Show off these Kingdom treasures. This is meant to be a fun way to generate gifts for the Royalty to use during their reign. All items will be delivered to the Crown following the event. (Rules and specifics to follow).
