Event details
One and all are invited to Settmour Swamp to celebrate with us as Their Majesties Lucan and Yana invest Alexander MacGregor and Rhiannon de Licorne as our new Baron and Baroness!

Mudthaw will feature a wide variety of activities:  tournaments in Armored Combat, Rapier, and Youth Combat, Archery, Thrown Weapons, and an array of Fine Merchants.  Artisans can enter their works in a Competition with the theme of “Heraldry”, in addition to an Exhibit for anyone who would like to display completed or in-progress work.

We will sate your appetites with a lunch dayboard and a grand feast, cooked by Wilhelm van Utrecht, in the evening.  Their Majesties will hold Royal Court, along with the final Court of Baron Teric and Baroness Paigan, and the first Court of Alexander and Rhiannon.  The event will conclude with dancing to the music of the Bhakaili Branslers!

Note:  Lady Drueta de la Rosa will be in attendance, collecting for the Toys for Tots program.

Site info:
The event will be held at the Ukrainian Cultural Center, 135 Davidson Avenue, Somerset, NJ.  (Please note the change of site!) This site is DRY - please do not bring any alcoholic beverages.  No pets are permitted.  Enclosed flames may be used at the feast.

Schedule:
8:30 am - merchant setup opens.  9:30 am - gate opens.  10-11 am - A&S entry drop off.  11-3 pm A&S competition & exhibit.  10-11:30 am - tourney lists sign-ins.  12 noon - tournaments start.  1-3 pm - gaming, dance practice, organized children's activities.  3 pm - Court.  6:30 pm - Feast.

Event fees:
- Day-only fee:  $10 for adults; $5 for children ages 5-17.  Children under 5 are admitted free.  Admission includes lunch.
- Feast fee:  an additional $8 for adults ($18 total fee) and $5 for children
- The $3 Non-member surcharge will apply to adults who do not show proof of SCA membership.

Reservations:
Please mail in your reservations by March 17, 2007.  Any remaining feast reservations will be sold at the door.

The Reservations Clerk is Edmund Patterson, c/o Chris Lotano, 129 Ledden Terrace, South Plainfield, NJ 07080.  In your reservation, please include your modern and SCA names, what type of reservation you are making, and your contact info (address, and e-mail address or phone number).  Paid members, please include proof of membership.  For group reservations, please provide each person’s full name, type of reservation, and proof of membership (if any), and indicate which are minors.  Make checks payable to “SCA, Inc - Barony of Settmour Swamp.”

We will have Express Check-In at Troll for those who have made reservations.  To receive your express check-in letter, please include either your e-mail address (preferred) or a self-addressed stamped envelope with your reservation.  We encourage fighters and fencers to send in reservations so that they can get to the lists quickly! 

Note:  At 5:00 pm, unclaimed feast reservations will be sold to the waiting list.  If you plan on arriving after that time, please let the autocrat know.

Our Baronial refund policy is:  1) Site fees and merchant fees will be refunded if your request is received before the event.  2) Feast fees will only be refunded if your space can be resold.  3) All refunds will be paid by check from the Baronial bank account; refunds requested on the day of event will be mailed out.

Merchants:
The merchanting fee is $5; please send it, along with your reservation for the event, to the Reservations Clerk.  Include your modern and SCA names, address, phone and/or e-mail, and business name.  We will be printing a directory of Mudthaw merchants, so please also include a brief description of your merchandise, and your business website or e-mail address. 

Mudthaw merchanting space always sells out, so we recommend you reserve a space early.  Fees can be refunded if you cannot attend, see our Refund Policy under “Reservations”.

Note:  due to the change in site, there is not as much indoor space for merchants.  Please let the merchant coordinator know what your layout requirements are, if you are bringing non-table displays, if you would prefer to be outdoors (weather permitting), so we can make the best use of our space.  The hall opens at 8:30am for setup, please plan on arriving as early as possible.  Merchant coordinator:  Estrella de los Confinos (Julia Kessler); donastraya@yahoo.com; 609-647-4243.

Parking and a ramp entrance are at the rear of the hall.  All indoor activities will take place on one floor.

Take exit 29 for Route 287 South (see below)

FROM ROUTE 287 SOUTH
Take exit 10 (Rt 527 & Easton Ave).  Once on the exit ramp, get into the left lane and follow the Davidson Avenue/U-turn signs to get on Route 527 North.  Go to the first traffic light, and turn left on Davidson Avenue.  The site is the first parking lot on your right.

FROM ROUTE 287 NORTH
Take exit 10 (Route 527/New Brunswick/ South Bound Brook).  At the first traffic light turn left on Davidson Avenue.  The site is the first parking lot on your right.

FROM GARDEN STATE PARKWAY NORTH
take exit 127 to Route 287 North.  (see above)

FROM GARDEN STATE PARKWAY SOUTH
take exit 129 to Route 287 North.  (see above)

FROM NJ TURNPIKE SOUTH
take exit 10 to Route 287 North.  (see above)

FROM NJ TURNPIKE NORTH
Take Turnpike exit 9.  After the tollbooths, stay to the right and follow signs for “Route 18 North-New Brunswick.”

After going through New Brunswick, you will pass the exits for Route 27 (Highland Park), and for George Street.  Take the next right-hand exit for Route 527/Easton Avenue.  Turn left at the traffic light onto Landing Lane, then right at the next light onto Easton Ave.  (If you miss the Easton Ave exit and go over the John Lynch Memorial Bridge, take the first exit and turn right onto River Road.  Go 3.5 miles to Route 287 North, and follow those directions.) Take Easton Avenue about 3.5 miles, past the exits for Route 287, and turn left at the light onto Davidson Avenue.  The site is the first parking lot on your right.

GEORGE WASHINGTON BRIDGE TO NJ
Take I-95 South to Route I-287/Route 440 (Exit 10) toward the Metuchen/Edison Turnpike.  Take the Route 440 E exit on the left toward the Garden State Parkway/Perth Amboy/Outerbridge Cr.  and merge onto Route 287 North.  (see above)

FROM LONG ISLAND / STATEN ISLAND
Take either 1) I-278 West over the Goethals Bridge to NJ Turnpike (I-95 South) to Route 287 North;
OR 2) NY/NJ Route 440 South over Outer Bridge Crossing to Route 287 North.  (see above)
