Event details
As October draws to an end, the days grow chilly and thoughts turn towards winter projects.  What to do with that fabric you picked up at Pennsic? Maybe a new embroidery project, or weaving or spinning or… whatever it is that stirs your fancy.  Settmour Swamp's Textile Schola is just what you're looking for!

Classes covering all topics dealing with textiles are planned from beginner to more advanced classes.  There will also be an open area where you can work on your projects.  Or, show off your work at the A&S exhibit with the theme -- you guessed it -- Textiles.  Please leave words of praise and/or tokens of appreciation for the entrants.

In addition to the textile classes, we will be hosting a track of Exchequer classes, open to anyone wishing to know how SCA financial works.  It will be a perfect opportunity to learn what goes in to processing an end of year report before they have to be submitted.  Any questions about these classes should be directed to Mikael "Kael" McCue at exchequer.south@eastkingdom.org.

A hearty Fall-Harvest-themed dayboard, sure to tempt all, is being prepared by Lady Eleanor Callaghan.  There will be no evening feast.  The site closes at 6:00 pm.

There is limited space for merchants.  We ask that those wishing to merchant bring goods matching the theme of the Schola.  There is a fee of $5 per merchant.

As added incentive, everybody who pre-registers for the Schola will have their name entered in a drawing for a textile themed gift basket.

For more information, including class listing/schedule and dayboard menu, please go to our website at http://www.settmourswamp.eastkingdom.org/events.html
