The Barony of Settmour Swamp welcomes one and all to celebrate our 27th Quest with a weekend of camping and activities for everyone to enjoy. 

Fighters, bring your armor and weapons.  Fencers, bring your rapiers.  Archers, bring your bows and arrows, and those who practice target throwing, bring your axes and knives.  Brewers, bring your beer, wines, and cordials for the brewing contest.  Artisans, bring your Arts and Sciences projects.  The winners of these tournaments will be our Baronial Champions.  The fighting ,archery, and thrown weapons competitions will be held on Saturday.  Fencing competition will be on Sunday. 

After a long day of events we will be having a great feast on Saturday evening prepared by Lady Charis (menu below).  The feast will be limited to 100 gentles so we ask you to please get on-board early.  After the feast we challenge you to come around our fire pit and entertain us with your songs and stories.  The best of all will be awarded our Bardic Champion.

For those looking to use their wits, we offer you a mighty quest.  It is the Quest for the Tenth Worthy Warrior .It promises to be fun and challenging.  The Quest will be at 1 PM on Sunday.  Children teams are welcome, but must be accompanied by a parent.  After the Quest our Baron Alexander MacGregor and Baroness Rhiannon de Carreg Cennen will be holding a Baronial Court where our new Champions will be presented.

Children are most welcome, and there will be many activities in which they can participate.  However, we ask that you supervise your children at all times.  Anyone under the age of eighteen and not with a parent must be accompanied by an adult and must present a consent form signed by the parent which lists the parent's contact information.  If a minor does not have a blue membership card, a minor's waiver must be signed by the parent /legal guardian and presented at Troll.  Copies of said waiver will be available at Troll.

The camping area will be open from 4 PM Friday until 11:30 Monday.  It is a damp site, which means beer, wine, and mead are permissible, but please no distilled liquor.  Running water is not available on site, so please bring enough bottled water to last throughout the weekend.  Porta-John's and dumpsters for garbage (and bins for recyclables) will also be provided.  There will be a large, central fire pit for socializing.  Pets are welcome, so long as they are leashed and cleaned up after.

Reservations must include Mundane and SCA names for all persons included in the reservation, Ages of all children included in your party, Proof of membership for all members included in the reservation (photocopy of membership card or copy of cover of recent Pikestaff cover with the members name is acceptable), and Contact information for the head of your party, and check or money order made out to "SCA Inc., Barony of Settmour Swamp" for the total amount of the reservation.

Merchants are most welcome, and there is no merchant fee.  We do ask that you bring your tables and PLEASE pre-reg so we can allot you enough space.  All Merchants must contact the Autocrat prior to the event.  Please include full contact information as well as the name of your merchant booth with your reservation.

There will be an Inn on site and there are several fast food establishments a short distance away.

Feast menu:

Hummus and flat bread

Grape leaves stuffed with lamb and rice (there will be vegetarian grape
leaves available)

Asparagus with saffron

Honey glazed shrimp

Rabbit stew (there will be vegetarian stew available)

Cheese gnocchi with white garlic sauce

Tagine with Prunes and Onions (a chicken dish)

A spice cake (in the form of the walls of Jerico)

Rissoles (French fruit pastries)



The main dishes will be served up with a crusty bread bowl that will be
home made.

Directions:
From Route 206:  [Route 206 can be reached from Routes 287 and 22 from the north, and from Routes 95,295,and 195 from the south.]
Take Route 206 to County road 514 (Amwell Road) in Hillsbourgh NJ.
From the North:  turn right onto Route 514.
From the south, make a left. 
Stay on Route 514 for about 8 miles until you come to a 3-way intersection at a large white Church.  Turn right onto Route 567 (River road).  A mile or so down the road you will see a white girder bridge on the left, make a left over the bridge and you'll see the site
on the right.

From Route 202:  [Route 202 can be reached from Routes 31 and 29 from the south.] If coming from the north follow Route 206 directions.
Take Route 202 north.  Turn right onto Pleasant run road (County road 629).  Continue to follow County road 629.  County road 629 becomes County road 567(River road).  About 3 miles from Route 202 you'll see the white girder bridge.  Make a right turn onto the bridge (Elm street).  You'll see the site on the right.
