|Hosted by Barony of Settmour Swamp - Neshanic Station, NJ||Event Last Modified: May 9th, 2004|
|The mists off the nearby lake curl about your feet. Not far off in the mud lies a great stone. And thrust deep into the rock, a gleaming and mighty sword. Who will be the noble gentle to draw forth the mighty sword? Who will brave the fearsome knights and daunting enchantments that lie ahead? And who will find that Holiest of artifacts, The Holy Grail? All will be revealed in this, the Barony of Settmour Swamps' 21st annual Quest: The Quest for the Holy Grail.|
The Barony of Settmour Swamp proudly invites you to a weekend of camping, questing, and competition! Among the many activities planned throughout this three-day weekend are tournaments of skill and prowess with which to impress your fellow gentles. Also, delight in our feast of highland field and stream. A wondrous time beckons all who do attend.
On Saturday, we will engage in competitions for our new Baronial Champions (All are welcome to compete). For those adept at battle, there will be heavy fighting, thrown weapons, and archery. For our equally impressive craftsmen we will have an A&S & brewing competition. A delicious feast will be laid forth to those onboard attendees. And finally, about the evening fire, we will engage in the ever-entertaining baronial bardic competition.
On Sunday, the early morning will be met with swordplay as the quick of wit compete in our baronial fencing tournament. Also in the morning hours, there will be Hurley for players and spectators alike. Around 1pm begins the Quest for The Holy Grail. And last, but certainly not least, comes the Baronial court wherein the new Baronial Champions will be announced from the winners of the weekend's many tournaments
***Please note, the feast has been moved to Saturday.
Youth tourney is still yet to be scheduled.
More complete schedule coming soon.
