| Flights of Missles: the Bergental Archery Championship **UPDATED** | Event date: June 10th, 2005 - June 12th, 2005 | Hosted by Barony of Bergental - Granby, MA
| Event Last Modified: April 26th, 2005 | | | | Event details | | "There will be War says Our King and Our Archers need to be ready!" To that end, Syr Kai and Baroness Michalene MacLain invite archers to Their land to test their skills in various archery shoots. At the end of the day, the best Archer from the Barony will be Champion to uphold the Honor of Our Barony for the next year. Lord Graywolf says "My Lord King, not only will the Archers be ready but so will the Siege Engineers and Combat Archers!" So break out your armor, your combat bows and seige egines and make your way to Bergental. Various challenges are planned. All you armored fighters aren't going to get away without practice as well. A Bear pit is planned and there is room for more. Lest the fencers feel left out, there is plenty of room for fencing just bring your own marshall.
For those not martially inclined, we will holding the first leg of the Baronial A & S Championship. Please bring your projects to show. If you don't want to compete, please bring your items to display. There is limited space for merchanting and a covered pavilion in case of rain. There is also a children's play area and a pond.
PLEASE NOTE: THERE IS NO LIFEGUARD ON DUTY. PARENTS OR LEGAL GUARDIANS MUST SUPERVISE CHILDREN AT ALL TIMES.
For those of you would like camp (try out your new tent before Pennsic) the gate opens at 3 pm on Friday the 10th and should be open until at least 10 pm. It will reopen at 8 am on Saturday the 11th. The Club will have a pay as you go snack bar open on Saturday during the day but the Barony invites anyone who would like to join us for a potluck feast on Saturday night under the Baronial pavilion. Beside the potluck feast, The Barony of Bergental (BOB) Bardic guild will play host to an evening of songs, stories and what have you. Come join us! For the convenience of all, if you would like to pre-register for the event, you can either call or email Mistress Pagan Graeme and pay at the gate.
As an added attraction, the Club has a pond stocked with fish and fishing is allowed. This is not catch and release so take what you catch. Corn and shiners are not allowed as bait and period fishing tackle are encourged but not required. Site Opens: 3 pm on 6/10/05 Site Closes: 3 pm 6/12/05
