In fine old Bridge tradition, join us in celebrating the Coronation of Lucan and Jana!
The event will be held on Saturday, September 30, 2006 in the Barony of the Bridge. The site is the German Hall in Pawtucket, RI.
Schedule
10:00am -- Doors open
10:30am -- Last Court of Brion and Anna
12:30pm -- Coronation Ceremony, fealty of kingdom officers and landed baronage
1:15pm -- Sitting in State
3:00pm -- First Court of Lucan and Jana
5:30pm -- Feast and general revelry
10:00pm -- Doors close
Food!
A repast to satisfy the appetite of kings and the palate of queens will be prepared by Mistress Avelina Keyes and her able assistants. Seating for the feast is strictly limited to 100 persons, so be sure to RESERVE your place. The feast fee is $12 for adults, $8 for a child 10 years and under.
Libations!
The site will run a cash bar.
Entertainment!
To keep us in the festive spirit, we encourage entertainers of all types to come and perform before, during or after the feast. We love songs, stories, and even the occasional cautionary tale. In the interest of organization, please contact the autocrat in advance if you'd like to entertain.
The Fine Print
Note that this announcement says nothing about dayboard. There is none. You are welcome to bring your own, or to venture into the wilds of Pawtucket for sustenance.
** By popular demand, we will offer a dayboard. A nominal fee will be collected at the point of sale. **
Nor has anything been said about merchants. There are none. Our hall, though very atmospheric, is small and will not accommodate them.
Please do not bring alcohol, things with flames, or pets of any kind.
We regret that the hall is **not** handicapped-accessible. Please contact the autocrat with questions about accessibility.
Questions should be addressed to the autocrat. E-mail is best as I can never be sure which gremlin will answer the phone and whether I will get any ensuing message.
Directions:
I-95 North or South to the vicinity of the MA/RI line. From north or south, take Exit 2A in Attleboro, MA (Route 1A South/Newport Avenue/Pawtucket). Please note that when approaching from the south, you will pass through Pawtucket and leave RI before you reach the exit.
Go straight off the exit. At the 4th light, turn right onto Carter Avenue. Continue on Carter Avenue to the German Club on the right. SCA signs will be posted.
