It's been twenty years since the first Swamp Thynge was held at a campground outside of Odessa.  Please come and help us celebrate this passing of time.  Remembering all the years and friends, we implore you to post an e-mail to the autocrat with your favorite activity or Archery targets, etc. It is our intent to recreate as many favorites as possible.

As in the past Archery , Heavy Weapons, and Throwing Weapons will be available on Saturday and Sunday to test your skills.  On Saturday the Heavy Weapons Champion will be selected from a Tourney.  Archery will have a Roving Range and Field Range.  A tourney on Sunday will determine the Sire's Archery Champion.  Throwing Weapons Range will be available and a Sunday Tourney will select our Shire's first Throwing Weapons Champion.  All are welcome to participate but let it be known that the highest placing resident will be our new Shire Champions.

On Saturday there will be music and Dancing.  George Tolton will be calling and ever willing to teach at the afternoon practice or the Dance after Feast.  Each night Padraig will host a Bardic Circle around the fire.  The music and stories will entertain everyone.  Dayboard will be available on Saturday and Sunday.  Saturday evening brings a Pot Luck Feast.  The Shire provides the meat of the meal and dinners bring the side dishes.  Recognition of each ranks skill on the Roving Range and the Shire's new Heavy Weapons Champion will be presented during the Pot Luck Feast.

All other activities will be determined by the favorites posted to the Autocrat by July 15th.  Merchants are most welcome and no additional fee is required.  Please contact the Autocrat in advance to reserve your space.
